RWCS Foundation Museum
The Red Wing Collector Society Foundation has established and maintains a Museum for the purpose of sharing information with the public about the pottery industry that once played an influential role in the culture of Red Wing, Minnesota and in the lives of the many Americans throughout the country who encountered its products. This information is shared through exhibits demonstrating processes used in the clay industry and through numerous displays of artifacts associated with the industry and of finished products. Displays of finished products demonstrate the wide range of items produced by Red Wing’s pottery industry including hand-decorated salt glazed stoneware of the highest quality to be found anywhere, molded zinc stoneware, advertising ware, art pottery and dinnerware. The museum is located in Pottery Place Mall near downtown Red Wing, Minnesota and is open during Mall hours.
